Green brick red lampwork dark brass earrings, niobium earwire - I made the glass bead and let the decorative dangles underneath. Lampwork beads are made by heating various colors of glass rods hot enough to wrap around a mandrel. The glass beads were annealed in a kiln which increases the durability of the glass. The lamp worked beads are nice and small at a width of about 1/3" (1 cm).
Niobium is hypo allergenic; people tell me they can wear niobium when nothing else works.
- Length: 2.5" (63 mm), including the ear wires.
- Ear wires are hypoallergenic niobium and are lightly rounded on the ends for comfort.
- Care: wash in warm soapy water, rinse, and pat dry with a soft cloth. I sometimes use dilute ketchup, however the acids in the ketchup will probably lighten the antiquing of the brass, so use with caution.
